Ok,

So We just recabled my parents house. And they have two receivers and one of them was connected in a way where the reciever in the living room also worked in the bedroom. (One receiver two rooms)

When I disconnected them I wasnt paying attention. Does any one know who this is done. (no its not a dual reciever its an older hughes e1)

HELP!!!!!

you should have 3 coax cables.... 2 being from your dish and the other runs to the bedroom. Just hook the one going to the bedroom to the coax out of the receiver that is sharing the signal.

so let me get this straight

thats not right because the wires come into the attic one goes to each reciever then theres a third wire that goes to the other room.

That thrid wire was hooked to some kind of splitter and then in the living room (the shared reciever) there was some other kind of splitter and it just worked.

I can't really picture what that third wire is doing once it reaches your "other room". Explain to me the connection or the dis-connection that you having trouble with and I will be able to help you out.
