Software Updates

Just curious...what satellite(s) does the updates come from? Same with guide data...i was wondering if they come from specific transponders and whatnot...

It comes from the 101 location. Software updates are carried on various transponders for different purposes (search for posts by Doug Brott, a Mod, for details). I don't know if anyone knows what tp Guide data streams from. If they do, I've never seen it mentioned.

I am quite sure the guide data is on 101 but I don't know what transponder.

I believe the guide is TP1, it was mentioned before

Not sure about the GUIDE data. The firmware data comes from the 101° W satellite location and the various transponders can be found on my firmware monitoring site:
