I'm one of the few who get no signal on the 103b even transponders on my AT9. After eliminating every other cause (alignment, cables, receivers, bbc's), it appears to be the LNB. Finding it impossible to get a replacement, I took it apart and found no less than 7 stray globs of solder throughout the small circuit board at the top. The traces are too small for me to tell if any are bridged, but I highly suspect this may be the cause. Of course I can get a tech out for $70 and probably end up with a new dish. But if I meet all the requirements to get HD (5-LNB dish and HR20 receiver), why should I have to pay to have defective equipment replaced? Is there no warranty period on this stuff? Am I talking to the wrong CSR's? Please help.

I would call again, be polite but firm, but keep asking and when you get a "no" keep asking to speak to a supervisor. If there is no further to go, ask for the customer retention department.
