i thought mpg4 looks smoother when you fast forward or whatever than mpg2,

my mpg2 channels forward WAAAY smoother than these new channels that are being tested

I dunno...there really isnt all that much real HD stuff out there at the moment.

Stuff like Sportscenter and NFL HD looks awesome too....im just excited to be seeing more than what I used to.

Keep in mind that these are TEST channels... and I usually only fast-forward through commercials, who cares if that's a little 'choppy'

Though, I'm not at home to see what you're talking about....

no not a big deal , i just am trying to learn what is mpg 4 and mpg 2 and thought that if it was smooth fowarding then it was 4.

I know this is a test so i'm not gonna flip out over anything on here :)

Looks great here! I haven't noticed any pixelation! Just like looking throuh a clean window. At first there was some thin black side bars.

just the opposite - mpeg-2 has always been smoother with trickplay. mpeg-4 was always choppy.

Just checked on my 106" projector. Looks just a tad soft but absolutely free of artifacts. The softness may just be the program. Great first impression. :D

They stretch much of their content -- they do a 14:9 zoom/stretch on their SD stuff.
