Based on the results that we have been seeing with the new test, do you think think D* should go ahead and turn the new channels on tonight, or in the morning? Or should they wait and work on it some more first.

They won't turn on anything during prime-time viewing for fear of hosing subs during prime-time. It'll be early-am when it happens.

I say turn em on.i have no problems with the test channels.although some of the wording was cut off in the commercials but i don't think direct tv was responsiable

Based on the test sampling what is left to work on?? Unless they are going to be sending static images with music I say light em up ;) I'll probably be watching MNF on ESPNHD anyway.

after waiting so long it prob. will be wed. morning when I leave on buisness for a few days. Whats the odds of D* and HDTV at the hotels in Boca Raton? :(

I don't think SciFI is in the initial rollout list so I doubt we'll be getting the first few weeks of Atlantis in HD. I just hope they get it together to get BG in HD.

You're right, but I would really like to be surprised. I don't even know if the sci-fi is redy with their feed yet.:grin:

Depends on where you're staying. But the odds of MPEG4 HD from D* at a hotel are probably slim to none at this point.
