The Football Network is expected to launch 2nd Quarter 2003. :)
College Sports Television (CSTV) will be launching February 23rd.
It was formed as NCSN but changed its name recently.
They have a list of all the agreements they have in place showing the conferences and the respective sports to be covered.
Here is a link to their website.

D* already has the NFL Channel and there isn't enough programming to keep it fresh. Add a new football channel and it will be the same constantly repeating programs every few weeks.

Maybe next would come the baseball channel, basketball channel, hockey channel. Maybe there is enough content out there, they just dont get the new games on it. Reminds me of ESPN Classic in which is now gone. Those channels could be like that or just a channel to replace the ESPN Classics channel.

Steve, I kind of like the NFL channel. There are documentaries on the Coaches, Players, Teams, etc... The channel also shows old games, and public domain movies that are about football (IE: Ronald Regan as the Gipper, or the East Side Kids).
Everyone on D* gets the channel no matter what package you have. I think that's rather nice :)

There already is an NBA channel. An NHL channel too. As Steve pointed out ESPN Classic is still around. ESPN NEws pretty much subs for CNN/SI.

Unless it's ESPN HD forget it.
What, no interest in the Rugby Channel from New Zealand? (Yes, it exists.) When will the cricket channel be starting?
