Journeyman did not tape. Was set and I checked it before it was supposed to tape and it was a no show. :(

It recorded for me, but I had the problem with Chuck. It was set-up and showed in the To Do list, but it did not start recording. I had to manually press record to get it to start several minutes into the show.

I had the same issue with chuck, and watched it, great show. but journeyman just wouldn't do it. I have seen the please wait pop up every now and again, am not sure that had anything to do with it or not...

Same here ... mine recorded another "season pass" with a lower priority instead. Had to manually intercede about 4 minutes in.

The HR20 fails miserably once again on this one too and I didn't catch it in time like I did with Chuck.:nono:
Of course the HR10 bailed it's sorry a** out once again.
Check your to do list for Chuck for Saturday night. This was mentioned in the chatroom that there was a guide problem.

You can see the pilot episode of Journeyman (and Chuck and something else, don't remember) for free from Blockbuster.
I watched it a couple of weeks ago.
(I know that doesn't solve your problem, but at least gives you an opportunity to maybe view it - I liked it).

I set it up on my west coast feed which will hopefully get it, only problem is its in sd on the west coast feed. Just hoped D* had fixed these issues.

I've seen a report about Bionic Woman as well.
Looks like NBC (or at least some of the affiliates as each affiliate is reponsible for it's own guide data) screwed the pooch in terms of guide data on some of their premier's. I've seen no reports about other networks.
Bad NBC, bad.

As noted in a few threads... Chuck should be scheduled on Saturday.
Not what it "should do", but it is what it did.
If you look in your History... (and please report what the History says for Journeyman)...
Chuck is listed with a code of 10... denoting that it found a 2nd airing of the show, and it scheduled that as the recording.

Go into the history item... what reason did it give for the Cancel...
Especially the history code number

Are there any encore presentations later this week for Journeyman that are in the ToDo list? I just checked and Journeyman did record for me but I also had no other recordings going on at that time.

Well in my case I screwed up the actual message that missed the recording. I came out of watching my recording of Shark with about 10 minutes left to go on Journeyman. The tuner was left on NBC while I was watching my recordings. I noticed it wasn't recording even though it was supposed to be so I hit the record button figuring it would catch it it all from the buffer. Nope. Sorry. Wrong again. The buffer was NOT buffering while I was playing back my recordings.
Of course the HR10 did exactly what it was supposed to do as it always does.
Advanced DVR? NOT.
My HR20 recorded all there shows fine. Which is a good thing because I watched all 3 shows on an hour delay to avoid commercials.
Same here.
Journeyman did not record.
Luckily noticed it a few minutes into the show when I went to check channel 9300.
Hit record and all is well.

I got both.
Chuck was strange, in that I had set up the series link from tonight's show in the guide, but it scheduled itself to record the repeat of tonight's episode on Saturday. I noticed that in my to-do list earlier today, and switched things around so that it would record tonight's instead. I assume bad guide data was at fault (tonight's showing not flagged as first-run), I see that others had the same thing happen.

Maybe you should use your DVR instead of tape! ;) Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Journeyman recorded fine for me. But, I didn't program it to record until just before prime time this evening.

Ya know i used to have a lots of missed recording & canceled records. I have pretty much done away with series recordings and 99% of my missed recording problems have gone away. I record almost everything manually and it works like a charm. D* send me a few replacement DVRs. I would always wait for the latest software download in hopes of a fix. While it did get better over time, I was never able to complete fix the problem until I stopped using most series recordings. My feeling has been for some time that there are bugs in the series recording software.

Whatever works for you is good.
Me, I have had no problems with the HR20 selecting the proper programs to record via my series links (though it was a bit buggy much earlier in its life). I do check my to-do list and history occasionally to double-check. I can count the errors on one hand.

In my household, the Series Link / Season Pass type functions of a DVR are the most important capability of the device.
You’re giving up a lot of functionality by having to go find and hit record on every episode of every show you want to watch.
Unacceptable work around for me.

Journey man is being shown also on SCI-Fi and USA networks each week so if you miss it on NBC then you have numerous other choices. My HR20 missed the showing last night but I am happy to have found it on 2 other channels

I got Journeyman just fine, but the [HD] icon was missing. There was also no High-Def in the description. Funny thing is, it recording in HD just like it was supposed to.

Chuck did the same thing for me. I even noticed that it was scheduled to record on Saturday, and manually set it to record on Monday. It did not and the Sat recording is still scheduled.

I checked mine last night and had Journeyman listed in my Playlist. Did not check out details on it or even watch it, but hopefully it is there when I go to watch tonight. No problems with any of the other shows I set for yesterday either (Heroes, Chuck, Big Bang Theory).
Journeyman recorded just fine for me on 2 of my hr20's.

Had to get used to this in order to record NHLCI games. No other way. Set it up manually, then babysit the ToDo list (it tends to cancel the recordings before they air). This year, I no longer have my TiVo safety net, so I'll probably miss a good number of games until they fix the CIR.

No problems with Journeyman, which I started watching when the Titans blew open the game against the Saints ... I was recording MNF on ESPN at the time.
I'm not sure whether I'm on 0x19e as I'm not at home ... last upgrade date for me was 28 August; that much I do remember.

Journeyman recorded fine on my HR20-100 and had another show recording at the same time. Only thing is the audio is out of sync with the video. I get my local NBC-HD from the satellite. I wonder if it was my NBC station or D*

probably the local station.
No problems with anything here, although I still record all my network shows via OTA.

Clearly you don't understand the premise of the show. Yesterday's recording will appear on your DVR tomorrow. ;)
