Error going from HD version to SD version? Searching for signal...

Ok, I have a problem:

If I'm on the HD version of a channel say TNT HD 245 and use the channel up/down to go to TNT SD I get a searching for signal on the SD channel until I skip past it and then go back to it.

Same thing with any of the channels. If I'm on Starz HD, and then try to go direct to the standard definition version, I get a searching for signal on the standard definition version, until I go to another channel first and then back to it.

Does this happen to everyone? If not, any ideas?

Yes, I need to keep the SD versions in the guide because a good number of shows I still want to record on the SD channel for capacity reasons.

Sounds like a reciever issue actually. Might fix with a standard reboot.

That does seem odd. That's not how it worked for me, but I wonder if you rebooted your receiver if the problem would go away.

Interesting removing the SD channels from the guide does no good cause *any* SD channel I go to after being on a MPEG 4 HD causes the problem.

80 percent of the time going from a MPEG 4 HD to SD it says "Searching for signal."

The other 20 percent of the time it gives a black screen, or says channel not purchased.

Why me? :) ha-ha
