New HD channels and Series Links

I know that now if you tune just to channel number, you get the MPEG-4 HD channel. How will effect series links? For instance, I have 1 setup for Dirty Jobs on Discovery. When the HR20 goes to record it, is it going to go to the HD or the SD channel by default?

It will still record the SD version unless you delete and re-setup the series link for the HD version.

Good. I really didn't want to reset the HR20 back to Phase III dish as there are a few HD channels that don't have SD equivalents.
