The News Mix and Sports Mix interactive feature takes me to the SD channel rather than the HD channel. Is this a universal issue that D* has yet to address or am I having a unique problem?

It's not just you. But I wonder what it does if you have the SD channels hidden?

I have filtered the SD channels out of my favorites; so I think the answer is that there is no effect.

Yes, according to Earl "There is an "internal" reference number, that is unique for each channel."

So each of those channels references the SD version of the channel and not the HD feed.

I'm not talking about the favorites, I'm talking about the option on the latest HR20 CE to completely remove the SD channels from the system. But I forgot that it was just a CE option, and not in the national release.

Hmmm. Although it sounds like an easy fix, I'm happy that D* (and the many people such as Earl in this forum) busted their behinds getting HD launched. This is no doubt way down on the list, somewhere in or near the weeds. I trust there will be a resolution at some point.

No, and DirecTV hasn't announced any plans to make them HD either.

Sunday Ticket game mix knows how to take you to the HD channel (if available) so I'm sure DirecTV will update the rest of the mix channels eventually.

I would have to say right now....

Since they are just getting these things going... that we will have to wait a little while for an "HD" version of the mix channels....

Not so much for the channel it self... but for the channel it tunes to.

I think the OP is trying to say, when he selects CNN on the mix channel, or ESPN, that it goes to the SD not the HD version.

I'm guessing someone needs to rework the code for the interactive features for it to work the way you want. My guess: no one thought of it. Great catch!
