On the front of the mass-mailing piece, Santa is saying to the two young kiddos riding in his sleigh --

"See that satellite dish on the roof, kids? That's why Santa can't visit your house this year." Frightening kids across the land. :eek2:

Here's the deal --

Subscribe to basic and get digital HBO/Cinemax for $9.95 for 6 months. Did I read it wrong, or do I get basic/HBO/CMax for $10/m for the 1st 6 months?. Otherwise, Adelphia's basic tier is something like $25/m - a rip!

Last time I checked about a year ago Adelphia's basic tier was $44/mo. where I live. We were in the middle of getting a system upgrade so that we could get their internet service, then all their financial problems started. It doesn't look like we will be getting Powerlink any time soon even though my city has been at the forefront of city governments putting pressure on them. At least they tidied up the coils of coax that had been hanging from ropes on poles all over town.

The Adelphia cable system that runs by my house here only has a little over 20 channels (was only about 12-15 channels before they added some channels a couple of years back) and they charge almost $30 for that. One HBO available for like $15.

Satellite should counter showing Santa all tied up in cable wiring like a spider web.
