View Full Version : So how many recordings will your unit have stored on it by 8p EST today?
Mine will have 11, personally, and all movies.
Now I gotta find the time to start watching them, so can delete them, to make and have the room for future recordings.

Both of them with each have more than I can watch in a day (and I can watch alot of TV in a day :))
Wow.
I had a few things already on there, plus an SD Smallville recording now (no HD-CW locally), and with those 11-12 movies I recorded; I'm still only at 50% capacity.
I'm officially convinced that MPEG4 is indeed a better codec, and not just PQ/AQ-wise!

Wow, wow!
Um, with 7 DVRs, 4 that had been in a test lab setup all recording different combinations of our standard list of shows (most of which continuously run at 3% available), one HR20 with a 750gb drive fairly full of favorite movies in HD and SD, various marathons being watched down (discovered The Closer this summer), I'd much rather post here and watch new HD channels than try to count them all. :)
Cheers,
Tom

I'm thinking the same thing. I have 10 DVRs, 4 of them HD (2 HR20-700s each with 750 GB and 2 HR10-250 one with 2*320 GB and one with 2*250 GB). I have hundreds of programs that I will never watch, but if I want to they are there.

I don't have all that capacity - at least not yet - and its probably a good thing I don't. I am gonna have way too much trouble to find the time to watch what I've got now, can't imagine have 3-4 times more waiting.
I have 3 HR20's, 2 with 750GB and 1 with 500Gb. One of those has collected 136 episodes of "Modern Marvels" from the History Channel. I know I can't watch them all, but at least I can pick and choose.
