Obviously many of us have/had issues with the StarzHD channels. I called to get it fixed and couldn't get to a person who knew how to do it.....without creating a billing issue. If I just sit and wait do you think the issue will be fixed or will I most likely eventually have to call anyway?

Call back, talk to a CSR, tell him or her to remove and re-add your HD pack. That will take care of the problem.

I had to call back four times. I finally told the CSR to remove and re add starz and they came right on, not the HD pack.

Hmm I ordered the Starz premiums late last night. All went well, they immediately showed up on my TV/receiver without a reset even.

Since you ordered after the HD's were released you were able to get them. I had Starz prior to yesterday, so the CSR had to cancel my starz package and re-add it. Once that happened I got them.

I had Starz added yesterday afternoon and it did not come on with HD. Had to call back and they removed / readded all my programming and then I got Starz HD.
I would imagine at some point they are going to have to do a global fix for this, but it might take them a while.
Still lots of CSRs that think that StarzHD isn't even available yet. My adivice is call in, if the CSR doesn't seem to know about the problem, hang up and keep calling back until you got one who does.
Third call the CSR said he would remove the HD Access and Starz and readd them. He did, it worked.

Be careful folks. I called and got a CSR that did remove and re-add my Straz however, when I looked at my on-line account after it looks like my billing will be all screwed up. I'm supposed to be on the free Premier for 4 months +NFLSD for $69.99. All looked well until now. Below is what my account looks like following having the CSR do her thing.
Monthly ServicesPREMIER $99.99 / Monthly
Sports HD $0.00 / included w/Sports service
Cinemax HD $0.00 / included w/Cinemax service
Starz HD $0.00 / included w/Starz service
LOCALS HD $0.00 / included w/Local Programming
HBO HD $0.00 / included w/HBO Service
HD Access $9.99 / Monthly
SHOWTIME HD $0.00 / included w/SHOWTIME Service
DIRECTV DVR Service $0.00 / $5.99/mo Included in Base Pkg
Monthly Total $109.98 / Month
Subscription ServicesSunday Ticket HD $0.00 / _2007 HD Games incl w/Q3 Offer
DIRECTV Protection Plan $0.00 / Begins in 30 Days: $5.99/Month

Unless I'm reading the above wrong, my next bill will charge me $99.99 for Premier but give me NFLSD for $0.

I don't see the need to call back if your CSR is uninformed. You know what the solution is, just say I want to remove Starz, no need to even explain why you want it removed. I doubt they will refuse to remove it. Make sure the channels are not longer available. Then after a couple of minutes just say you changed your mind and you want Starz after all. :D

This would be very funny. After you have them remove it, put them on hold for a minute or two. Then come back on and tell them you've changed your mind.

( I had to get to tech support for someone who actually just removed and added it. She was amazed it worked and said I should work for them)
Just spoke with CSR and first told them thanks for the new HD.
I told her that all she had to do was remove Starz and then put it back on.
She said that don't work for everyone and since I have a 3 months free promotion I would loose it if she did that.
Then she put me on hold while she checked. When she came back she said D* is aware of the Starz problem and they are working on a solution. In the mean time she suggested a receiver reset and to be patient.

Sirshagg,
Did you check your recent billing online to make sure your still getting the promo for free?
So many others have had their bill screwed up with losing promotions etc. Just want to make sure before I call back and try with a different CSR.

Yes. OMG!!! Have they messed (not my first choice in words) up my account so many times but in this case they didn't. I couldn't tell on the recent activity screen but I could tell it's all fine by the summary screen when you go through the change services menu (if you do this just cancel without accepting the changes)
Anyone notice the audio levels on starz (and starthd) is a lot lower than the rest since the hd rollout? d* needs to normalize audio across channels.

Thanks, I'll call them back when I get home from work so I can be in front of the TV. Try #2 coming up. :nono2:
Just called for the second time. Got it now. :D
Just checked my billing and all is ok! :biggthump

Third time was the charm for me. I don't know that it will get fixed on its own, and I wasn't willing to find out.

I wasn't getting the StarzHD channels after the rollout due to the authorization problems. All of a sudden tonight they came on. I have a feeling Directv is aware of the problem and it will be fixed for everyone soon.

Check your recent activity and see if they did any changes.
