New install and first rain

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and new to the Sat TV world too.

I just got my slimline dish and HR20 put in last week. Well last night was the first really good rain. I now have no TV. :(

During the rain last night, we lost all HD channels. Now nothing.

I am continually getting a "Searching for Satellite In 1...(771)". After reading a bunch of post here yesterday, I gather that it is not finding something. So I did the setup again and I get a "failed" on sat 99(b). I also only have one line running to the box. (installer didn't tell me that I need 2 lines to record and watch different channels at the same time) :nono2:

So here are the questions:

Can I get the installer to come out and fix it for free? Is there anything I can do to get it working in the meantime? Will they add the second line in since they basically messed up the install?

I'm glad I found a forum that I can vent and ask questions. I look forward to many more posts. Thanks everyone.

Fixed the problem of no TV. Unplug from wall and back on. It finally came back on.

It sounds like a bad install. The installer should have asked about a 2nd line themselves, unless you told them you chose not to have it.

You may need the dish to be re-peaked. I'd call DirecTV.
