I'm moving into a new house in mid-December (building it). My current house is for sale and I could move out of it feasibly within a month - or it could be until December. My questions are:
Should I call today and get an updated dish and HR20? Regardless of what deal I receive, I can still get participate in the move program correct?
Or could I possibly receive a better deal if I waited until I moved to contact DTV about their HD options for my new home (in comparison to other options)?
Things to note: I am no longer under a commitment to DTV. I already record network shows OTA on the HDTIVO, and don't have an immediate need to view the new HD channels just released. While I love my HDTIVO, I'm not opposed to moving to the new box - I know I will either today or in December.
I currently just use one HDTV; however, in the new house I will be using up to three. It seems you can get a deal on a new HR20 every six months. So if I get one now, it seems I'd be three months closer to getting another one.
Anyone have any insights or suggestions?
