Just moved in to a new house and decided to make the switch over to the HR20 (while keeping my HR10-250). Had a few issues with the installer and not showing but that's not my question.

The installer ran new RG6 that was copper clad from the dish to multi-switch then from there to HR20. The box said it was swept test to 3Ghz. I haven't used the new box much as I plugged in my old HR10-250 for a few days to catch back up on old shows. Is there any issues I should be looking for? Should I solid copper have been installed?

TIA.

EDIT: Wow, my first post. I've been reading up here for a while though. Love the forum, tons of great info!

Per DirecTV spec, it should have been solid copper.

But, unless you have really long cable runs (well over 100 to 125 feet), it won't make any difference. The whole reason for solid copper is DC current carrying capacity, as the 5-LNB dish draws more power.

You should be just fine.

and Welcome aboard.
