Anyone have trouble recording NFL games in HD today?

I tried to record the Steelers @ Cardinals game but all I got was a black screen. The hard drive is also making alot of noise when I try to play this game but it is quite with everything else. It also show's a dollar sign on the banner right next to HD.

Where you trying to record this from the Super Fan (NFL TICKET) package channels or a local HD Directv channel or an OTA channel? I am guessing the Super Fan if you are seeing a $. That just means it is a sports subscription that needs to be purchased. You will see it if you have paid for it or not.

Like markman07 said, you probably set the record to a channel you don't receive. I almost made that mistake recording the Bears game (set to a superfan channel). Although a blank screen may have been a better game in hindsight.

I have paid for the superfan package, I didn't have this problem last week. I have no idea why it did this. If I get an answer from Directv I will post it.

Interesting, actually a few weeks ago I recorded a superfan HD game (Oakland at Denver). I watched the game live but the next day I wanted to go back and rewatch a few plays. The whole recording was black.

I had no problems recording the 3 games I did, but am curios about something I never saw before. What is the upper case "K" mean? I saw that only on the Jets game, no others, though they were all on ST, and I do have Superfan. what is K, it was showing right away, not like I had told it to "K"eep the recording unti I delete. Was showing it whilie recording? Curious., never saw this before. It was far left column in the List.

"Keep until I delete." One of the selections for how long to retain a recording.

I had issues and it was easy to recreate. I had Raiders@Dolphins recording. I switched over to Baltimore game and the video was fine, but the unit would not respond to the remote. I did a RBR. Stopped the recording. Deleted the old recording. Started recording again. Flipped to Baltimore. Same thing.

I did notice that I wasn't getting any active b.s. I wondered if that was the root of it. Anyway, I didn't record anything else and I didn't have the problem again.

Also, I record a game every week, and yesterday was the first time I saw the $ next to a recording. I didn't try to watch any of them before I deleted them this week. Last week's game is fine though.

Hi all, short time lurker 1st time poster.:D I had no problems recording the Steelers game in HD, but towards the end of the game, the screen saver banner kept coming up. This happen to anyone else? I looked to disable it, but couldn't find it in the menu. As if i wasn't already upset enough that the Steelers were about to lose. :(

Yes and no. Recorded fine, but switching between the recording and live TV caused a lockup:
