It would be nice if DirecTV used the lower Ka frequencies (250 MHz to 750 MHz) for locals and assigned all of the non-local HDTV programming to the upper frequencies (1,650-2,150 MHz?). That way, those of us constrained to single home-runs could choose to diplex off-air into a WB switch or LNB port and combine off-air with all of DirecTV's non-local-broadcast channels. Has anyone identified the transponders of the new HDTV national channels and RSNs yet?
