1. When you type in one of the new HD Channels, it goes to the standard defintion channel.

2. There is not an option to Hide SD Channels that have an HD Channel.

3. RSN Sports Channels Get Stretched out and No one at Directv know how to fix it.

I don't know about your last issue but both your first 2 requests are in the latest CE builds. Once they "pass" the test it will roll out national.

1) That will be fixed in the next national software release (all ready in the CE version)
2) That will be fixed in the next national software release (all ready in the CE version) (and technically speaking... the feature isn't nationally available on any hardware platform)
3) IIRC... that also has been addressed in the current CE version.

Where are the other 999,997 reasons?

Well, the H21 appears to be hitting the shelves. That's one route to take.

Like Earl stated, all issues addressed in the latest CE

I just got my H20 installed today, so forgive the newbie question, but does it autodownload the CE, or is this something I need to initiate, or do only new hardware revs get it? Thanks for the info!

Well, I mean the H20-100 specifically and there wasnt a CE release this past week for the H20-100. I know its probably been out for a while now, but ive only needed it since the new HD Channels came out, and im still waiting for it.

CE's are the versions of software in field testing..
So, no... they don't automatically download.

When they have been certified/okayed for national release, they will automatically download

How long do we have to wait till the next national release, or when will the CE be available again?

Go to the CE forum, read and understand the rules (NEVER call a CSR if on a CE release) and subscribe to the Release Notification thread and you'll get an email when a new CE is coming.

The problem is that the CE is not out right now, i need it right now. It should have came out when they released the new HD Channels.

Well... sorry, doesn't always work that way.

You'll have to wait for the national release... or if you are willing to download the CE, wait for the next CE window

I have some other reasons--maybe Earl can help with these as well:

4) On my old receiver, I could pick the "zoom" option and I'd get a stretched out screen instead of a compressed screen with bars on each side. None of the options--crop, stretch--will do this on the H20. Is there something I can do? I'd rather watch less of the viewable picture than see those annoying sidebars.

5) I have to hit the guide button twice to get to the guide. First click takes me to the filter.

6) When I use the guide filter for sports, it only filters out the sports channels. If TBS is showing the baseball playoffs, it won't even show up cause it's not a sports channel. On my old receiver, I could click "sports" and then choose which sport I wanted to filter for.

There is an option in the display options that fixes that. I'd also recommend turning the effects option off so that things work a little faster.

Both of these, and other tips, can be found in the Undocumented HR20 Tips and Tricks thread. I'd give you a link to that thread, but I have fewer than five posts and am thus not allowed to post links. It is a sticky in the DirecTV™ HR20 Q&A > HR20 Information Resources subforum though.

There is an option in the display options that fixes that.

That option is not yet on the H20 ... only the HR20 .... or I can't find it if it IS there on the H20 ... Earl and others reported that this option/feature is coming in a future National release.

For #4 - You are correct there is no "zoom" option on the H20
For #5 - That is configurable in the current CE version, and will be in the next National Release
For #6 - The first "Guide" filter, is a channel filter. I am not sure if it on the H20.. .but once in the guide, hit menu and see if you have a category option (it is there on the HR20)
