HD Channel Problem

Hi all,

I am having a strange problem that I hope someone can shed some light on. Occasionally when I tune in one of the new HD Channels, I get the "721 Searching for signal" message. If I then go one channel up or down and then back to the channel I want, the show comes in.

Is this something that anyone else has seen, or should I contact Directv?

Sounds like you're getting the 771 error, not 721. What are your signal strengths for 103b?

You may be right about the error, it does say searching for signal with the animated bar though.

All the signals are between 86 and 98. I figure any adjustment to the dish would be futile because of the high 90 readings.

I was wondering if it was a common problem or a flakey tuner.
