TNN doing something right!

No it's not getting rid of the annoying black bar, but they're showing Platoon totally uncut on the 17th at 9PM. This is great! Now if only it could be in OAR. I'm not sure if language will be bleeped, maybe the s word won't be since it's been said on South Park and NYPD Blue among other shows. But I hope there's no bleeping, but it's a sure bet all violence and nudity WILL be shown.

Then nothing they do will ever illuminate one phosphor on my CRT! Just that simple. Title bar=unseen channel in my guide.

I just WISH I could be a neilsen family for just long enough to have an impact on THIS channel. I USED to watch them. But ever since that friggin bar has been there I will NOT EVER watch it!

The bottom black bar is annoying and distracting.... I hope they get rid of it.... The bottom black bar ruins the whole movie.

Also something else is annoying me; the new Sci Fi channel logo on the right bottom of the screen; why did they get rid of the old one?...IMO the new one looks awful... bring back the old one!...

Bah if I want uncut movies I have premium channels where I can get them in better quality and DD as well. I also don't watch TNN because they have that black bar. I did, however, TiVo the bugs bunny movies on TOON the other day, freaking hilarious.

Ditto, I tried watching TAKEN and gave up after 2 episodes, the logo was so distracting I didn't want to watch anymore. I emailed SciFi to tell them what I thought about the new logo.

Yeah, if there is something on TNN I plain on watching, I go into my Tv's service menu and shift the image down about 20 pixels.

Actually, I do watch TNN. Mostly just for the Star Trek: TNG episodes.

While I also dislike the "black bar" at the bottom of the screen, it really doesn't keep me from watching programs on that channel.

I love technology as much as the next guy/gal (even though I don't own much of it!), but the black bar just isn't enough incentive to keep me from watching a DBS channel.

Someone suggested using black cloth of some sort to screen your TV if you don't like black bars. This may be a solution for TNN, screen the bottom to cover up their garbage.
