Noticed there has been an increased gain from 110W as follows;
xponder 22-93
" 23-92
" 25-95
" 26-93
" 31-94
These signal readings are now 10 points higher from when I registered the
ss on 10-28-02.....

Maybe they put some of these transponders in boost mode.

Have noticed the same, I am now getting usable signals on 22 23 25 26 27 and 31 where I was getting no signal before. I was getting transponder 24 and transponder 13 and the signal level on those remains the same. It looks as if E* have double powered some transponders on E*V.
I still cannot get the guide info to download to my 501, does anyone know which transponder it is on?
501 guide is on Tp 29
John:
What is the signal strength difference between transponders in single and those in boost mode? like 15 - 20 points?
can you post your readings? are you using a 1.2m dish?

I am using two 1.8 meter dishes about 200 miles South East of Puerto Rico. Here are my readings, looking at them it looks as if transponder 3 at 110 may be on E*V as well

Could some of these be spot beams? I doubt anymore was launched or boosted. Maybe they had done some tweaking. I have heard that certain parts of the year some people's signal strengths will increase if they live on the outer boundaries of a signal.
