HR20 coming today help!

DTV is sending Out HR 20 and A slimline Dish ....I already have a 5LNB dish.

Should I have then install the NEW Slimline ? Is it better ?

There is no reason to install a new dish if you can get good readings off the current dish. I've read people's posts where several installers say they need to replace the AT9, but mine works just fine for all the satellites I need to see.

Lowest Signal on 103b is 93 so I'll keep it.


I don't get very many "Rain Outs ".


Next door has D* and goes out with rain storm and I'm still getting a good picture:D

I had the side car 5LNB Dish up until last week when the tech came out to tweak my dish so I can receive a signal on the 103b sat. He said that he did not like the side car but would try to get a good signal. After 10 minutes of trying he gave up and removed that dish and installed the SlimLine and had it tweaked with higher numbers in under 10 minutes. After that I had higher signals on all sats and was able to view the new HD channels.

I guess just make sure that the dish is secured properly and that you get good numbers on all sats with your current dish. If not see if he will switch out the dish.
