I just got off the phone with advanced tech support. I was told that my problems were being fixed in the newest version of software and they just got word that an hour and a half ago, version L1.07 was being released to some geographic areas in the East Coast. If I didn't have version L1.07 before December 28th, I should call advanced tech support. When I asked if they were sure it was L1.07 and not L1.05 I was told it is 07 for sure.

We'll hear soon enough if I was a victim of mis-information (again) or if I found the best tech support rep I've ever had.

HOW BIG IS THAT GRAIN OF SALT? Some people will believe anything Scot is only BETA testing L1.05 and they are going to release L 1.07.

Boba because of all the changes and improvements in the software, it just might be L1.07

I say the new software is so good they should call it 2.0 :D

I don't think I'll get into too much hot water for this - when the new 721 software is released, it most likely will be called L1.07.

How could they spool it to certain geographic areas? I thought they generally spooled by serial #s, which would scatter distribution. I guess technically they could do it by spots, but it sounds like more hassle than it's worth.

So the beta is 1.05 in which most will not see and then the new will be 1.07 in which will be available for customers?

Maybe Scott can have his contacts roll him 1.07 (if that number is correct) so he can fill us in as to differences between the 1.05 beta and 1.07 release.

She was right!
Best tech I've encountered at Dish.
