HR-20 on code 0002

I have been messing around in preparation for a second HR-20 arriving next week. Last night I noticed in the remote setup that my alternate code is 00002, not 3. I will try to set my stuff up so the old one is on the alternate #. The installers had no idea when I was discussing changing codes with them. They said "people don't normally use two DVRs together" . Hee,Hee.

If you're refering to: menu> settings> setup> remote> program remote> Av1> Directv> 00001, 00002, 00003, 00004

all receiver have that in their menu, its wrong. The IR addresses for HR20 are 00001 & 00003. All other directv receivers adddresses are 00001 & 00002. None use 00004.

To say what Edmund said a little simpler...

Use code 00003 for your 2nd HR20. Program the AV1 position on the remote to 00003, then use the HR20 menu to change it to use AV1/AV2.
