I recorded the 1AM EDT showing on USAHD. No CC's, even though the opening scene prominently broadcast the CC logo, and there were problems with lip-sync which cleared up within 15 minutes.

On the + side, PQ was great... and the plot and writing were excellent. :) /s

I've always thought Chris Noth was the second best detective to be on any Law and Order, and the first one... would be a real surprise if he showed up for work. RIP, Mr. Orbach.

I like the Columbo (vincent.....) type guy that alternates with Noth also. I am having so trouble getting all the episodes this year with the USA switch and all the repeats.

Many episodes are erroneously flagged as first run on DirecTV USAHD. My prioritizer currently shows 23 episodes to record. You may want ot look out for this so that you don't loose "real" new episodes or other programming as 23 hours of L&O:CI are recorded (depending on your SL setup).

That's because the guide doesn't list the episode titles until the day of the showing. It justs lists the generic description of the show. Whether it's USA not getting the information to Tribune or Tribune not keeping up with them I don't know.

I had 3 episodes recorded today. So I guess the guide never updated. I'd had to leave for a week and fill up the HD with Law and Order CI reruns.

Universal TV is having a fun time with this season in that they waited until the last minute and then rushed a couple of episodes into finishing conform and final color just at the deadline, and they still have them out of order, sort of. The first episode with Det. Goren is actually the second or the third. It apparently went through 6 re-edits because of USA. There's been some all-nighters lately and the conforming editor and assist have already gone through some bad colds and lung illnesses.

And this is just the start of the season...:eek2:
