UTV Pay Per View History

Is there anyway to clear the history/ record of all your PPV purchases on the Ultimate TV? I might not particulary want a "browsing guest" to see that list.

I would like the answer to the above question. I have as probably many of you have puchased a pay per view movie or two that we may not want other people to see.

I don't even think there is a way to do it short of it clearing itself.

this gets asked all the time. Even when a receiver calls out you may see items in the list for awhile.

The only way I have been able to clear my PPV's on my UTV's - I didn't have anything that my wife or others didn't know about so I wasn't intentionally trying to delete them - was to upgrade the hard drive. Even then, on the history listing, it shows a PPV purchased, the date and time, just the title is missing. It just says Title Unavailable. Even replacing the card (I have replaced all of mine to the new P4 card) doesn't delete the history.

My recommendation is to purchase your PPV's on the Directv website. That way they never show up on your history. Doesn't help your situation now, but may prevent future embarrassment.

BTW, I have PPV history on my Mitsubishi receiver from the week after I installed it - almost two years ago.

It will only disappear after you buy 20 or so PPVs. They will then begin to scroll off the card one at a time, oldest purchase first.

You COULD get a new card from Directv for $20. They would activate it as a new card without having to copy the old one and it would have no PPV purchases listed. Kinda expensive to hide a little PPV pr0n, though :p
