Info on the 721 with the new 1.07

I was wondering if the new update will now have "Season Pass" type of record, and wether the software will know if the time of a set recording has been changed in the guide and change the start on it's own.

Also, I have a 508 I just got and was wondering, Does the Guide update if I leave it powered on? I know the updates woun't..

No name based recording. The 508 must be in stand-by to accept an update.

So the Guide will still update then if the power is one, but not a software update..

It can't update the software (only download) with the power on, as the software needs to reboot to install the software.

I thought that it could download with the receiver on as long as you are not using PIP ?

If you turn it on while it is in the middle of a download then will it continue from where it left off or have to start all over?

How long will it take to download?

I noticed this morning that while a program is recording and you select the program to watch from the beginning, if you press the view button to see the time it takes you to the live program instantly. Not sure I like that feature.

Just press CANCEL instead of VIEW. There are some adjustments to get used to with some of these new features with this software download.
