Logo Guide Channel Question?

Can anyone with a Hughes GAEBOA or a Directv receiver tell me how many channel logo's there is in the guide? I have read up on this on several web pages and some say 25 while others say 50. can anyone that knows are has the time to set down and count them let me know? do they have logo's for every channel. and when they add new channels do they upgrade the logo's on the receiver's to? which I have read on one of the forums where that Hughes has not added on the Hallmark logo and another one I can't remember right now. I just didn't know why some of the web sites said 25 while others said 50. do some receivers have more upgraded in them than others. if so which receivers has the most. any info appreciated. thanks

I have the RCA DRD 420 re, Added a couple of logos with the 2001 upgrade. None Since.

My RCA DRD 430 rg, just upgraded on 11/14, about 15 new logos added, Heres the only channels not having logos.

Most channels especially if you just have the 18 dish that only picks up the core channels have logos. public interest channels on 119 do not have logos except EWTN.
After the upgrade I love the RCA rg series.

yup i seen the drd 450 rg in circuit city it does seem to have most of them.as far as scifi & usa, these logos are in most if not all recievers but you are not seeing them cause they been shut down at the networks request,in otherwords usa network dont want you to see there logo anymore on Directv guide, and stations have the right to shut them down on your reciever at any time, so enjoy them while they last !!

the stations themselfs cant do anything to the guide, i think you ment they order Directv to turn off the logo on the subscribers reciever, Directv then flags the logo to off at their control center for that channel. It would seem in most cases the station wants the logo turned off simply because Directv refuses to update the logo. MTV2 is a perfect example. That logo is coded into rca drd 480 re boxes. It was shut down about 1 year ago.Its still in your box, your just not seeing it.However if you have a current model reciever such as rca drd 450 rg or hughes executive box, you have the new logo visable on the guide.As far as I know, the logos most come from a software patch from the manufacture.

The TiVo combo units include logos for 95% of channels, updated on a regular basis. This includes USA and SciFi. Unfortunately, there is no logo guide - they only appear in the program banner and Now Playing List.
