Anyone getting Kansas @ Kansas State on Channel 96 ? I am as usual only seeing the D* logo with music but the guide lists all of the FSN games as being on this channel today.

Yeah, I saw that and am watching it. The problem is going to be tonight at 6:30. They won't be airing that game on 640.

I'm getting it on channel 96 in the Detroit burbs. Program guide also shows Arizona State @ Washington State up next on the same channel.
I think this is the first week we are able to see more than one FSN HD game on Saturday, at least in my area it is.

Somebody is dropping the ball yet again when it comes to the HD spotbeam of FSN Southwest on Ch 96 for the Dallas/Fort Worth market at least anyway. It is ridiculous that this keeps happening week after week. Funny that it worked fine for Rangers baseball this season and last night for Stars hockey as well, but it never does for Big 12 college football.

I completely agree. We are on the phone with D* right now and everyone we have talked to says we should be getting the games here in Dallas. I really wanted to watch the OK State vs A&M game tonight.

I agree Lance, even though I don't get the FSNSW spot beam there should be a FSN national feed on 94,95. They pulled it off for the late FSN game in week 1 ( I think USC-Idaho) and it's never been back. 640 is working for me but I would like to get he OSU-A&M game tonight.

I'm surprised that Tulsa doesn't ever get a spotbeam of FSNSW in HD on Ch 96. I thought all of OK was in FSNSW's territory.
I've just never understood why it never works on Saturday for college football, yet it's always turned on for the Rangers and the Stars games in the D/FW area. Allegedly the HD spotbeam for FSNSW has been showing college football in the Houston area on Saturdays, but never here in D/FW.
Until FSNSW goes national in HD on 103b (hopefully later this month), I guess we're going to be stuck with this issue unfortunately.

The problem is we are supposed to be getting the games. I think D* thinks we are getting them. The CSR just told us we should be getting them on 96 in the DFW area. I have suspected this was the case for the entire season and they have some type of communication problem. I really hope this gets resolved today.

The spot beam is for the DFW area only even though we are in FSNSW region. I never really thought that made to much sense, but it a few weeks hopefully it won't matter.
What is funny Lance is with MLBEI they would blackout the FSNSW HD feed of the Rangers game here in Tulsa. I kept telling D* that I understand that I am not covered in the spot beam but the game is on HD with the EI package it should not be blacked out. But that went over every CSR's head, it was way to complicated.
All D* needs to do is put up a national feed in the 90's for everyone. I have seen them do it.

no go here in dfw area for me... I'm quite frustrated as I don't have the sports package so I can't watch the game from another feed either...
I'm really most interested in the A&M/OSU game tonight, but would like to see the others that are suppose to be on as well...
I wonder if they'll give me the sports package for free for the interum...

In Dallas and 640 is showing the game. Looks like it's a comcast channel. It's wide screen but I don't think it's in HD, looks stretched. I have the sports package which covers the channels in the 600 range. Might check that with DTV.

this is strange. i'm getting the game on 640, but if i go back and forth between 95 and 96, 96 will come in with a still picture of the game with music. last night i was having trouble watching the stars on 96. i had to keep going back and forth for 96 to eventually come in. once it came on it was fine, not like the still picture today. anyone know what satellite (transponder) 96 is on so i can check my signal?

Came through perfectly on 640 here in NM. Even better, since my wife got her undergrad degree at KU.

Getting the full slate of Fox games today on channel 96 here in Cleveland. Switching between 96 and 640 both look equally great PQ wise, IMO.

OK...it wasn't a big deal when they did this for the first 2 games today, but the third one is going to push me over the edge. For the sixth straight weekend, D* has jerked us around with regards to FSN HD. Sometimes games will be listed in HD on channel 95 and not show up, sometimes it wouldn't be listed, but actually be on the channel. For example, when Texas Tech played Oklahoma State, it was being spotbeamed to various places around the country, but not to the local markets for those teams (see here (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=100000&highlight=fsn) posts 19 and 24, as well as here (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=103481) post 2)
It can't be a matter of bandwidth, because D* has the bandwidth on Sundays to deliver multiple Sunday Ticket channels in HD, but they can't offer up ONE channel on Saturdays for FSN HD? Especially with the launch of D10, there should be plenty of room for an MPEG4 FSN channel for a couple of hours on channel 96 nationwide. They can't say that those channels are being used up because of MLB EI, because baseball season is over now. I just feel like I'm being screwed over. I pay for the Premier package, so I get all of the RSNs. I pay for the HD package, so I get all of the channels available in HD. This is the third weekend that I've called D* about this, and I get no results. Nobody can transfer me to anybody with any knowledge of how the system works, or why this keeps happening. The CSR tonight first tried to tell me that the only game on in the 90's was the PPV boxing match. I explained that I was seeing the Rockies-Phillies game on 95, and he wasn't sure about that. I repeatedly told him that 96 showed "Oklahoma State @ Texas A&M" and that the game was showing up on 643 in SD. I asked him why the other 2 games listed on 96 today had the exact same issue. I told him that it was the 6th weekend in a row that this has happened. He said that he'd transfer me to an engineer. I was put on hold with no music, and then was hung up on after 10 minutes. What the crap (or who the crap can I talk to) to try and get this problem solved?
I'm sorry, I don't mean to rant, but this is really starting to bug me. It seems like we got more games on FSN in HD last year than we have this year, and I'm really starting to get tired of the "Leader in HD Sports" repeatedly messing around with one of the 5 main college football broadcasting networks with regards to HD.
I'll fire this over in an email to D*, and we'll see what they say.

I kept checking the 90's channels for an HD broadcast of this game, but saw nothing in the guide, so I have no idea if I was getting it in HD or not....I did watch it on Ch. 630 though.

I agree, I can't believe that they keep not sending the FSN Southwest college football games to Dallas, like they're supposed to. I think that D* thinks they are sending the game, so they don't see it as any issue. I called a few weeks ago and obviously no one I talked to knew what I was talking about and I just had to cross my fingers and hope. Hopefully, FSNSW will be added as a full time HD channel this week, so I'm not forced to watch my Horns in SD again this Saturday.

I also agree with bersrker. What's the reasoning now that D* can't give us college football all day on Saturday?

I agree that a FSN national telecast should be on 95 (CONUS MPEG-2) instead of 96 (viewable only in markets served by LIL MPEG-4 spotbeam). While I'm glad that they've given us the TBS baseball games on 95, there's no reason they couldn't also put the FSN CFB game on when the times don't overlap. FSN has gone to great effort to make most of their games HD; the self-proclaimed "leader in HD" should accommodate us in viewing FSN HD.
