Let me explain as easy as possible on this potential problem...Spoke w/Advan. Tech Support this morning.  Twice this morning (around 730a watched the unit for 20 min. then around 1045a for about 1/2 hr) when I turned on the unit and hit the guide button which enabled the epg (I am using the transparent function which shows the superimposed video on the lower right hand side),  the unit freezes, loose both audio/video it then re-sets itself (almost like when you pull out the smart card and press the power button for 8 seconds),  re-cyles goes thru aquiring satellite data and then it says receiver is re-booting then the channel appears.

Tech Support acknowledges this problem from another complaint about this similar problem.....Guide Lockups. Did not have this problem with previous ver. L104. So if anybody can try this procedure...When the receiver is "cold" turn it on press guide (provided the guide is enabled for transparent mode via preferences mode) from the remote, let the epg stay on for 30 seconds then scroll down the guide...see if this happens to you...but only do this if the receiver has not been turned on for hours..

Thanks...Tech Support says they do read this site so hopefully they can understand from other viewers who might encounter this bug.

**Update** As of 215p, it happened again as described in my earlier threads....Tech Support said they are getting more calls about this...This problem as I was told was forwarded to engineering and will be examined on Tuesday....So there is a BUG with L107.
Can't they get anything right???!!!

I have not had this problem, but with that said I do not like the transparent guide so I have really used this feature for more then a couple of minutes.

I do not like it either. I thought it was going to be the whole screen, but it is just part of the screen. It was definitely not what I had expected it to be.

um...work around: don't use the transparent guide?

As a bug with a known work around, this one might not be real high priority.
