I have a DishNetwork 508 receiver and its associated remote control. I recently purchased a Philips MX5000D DVD/Home Theater system. I would like to be able to control the volume on the Home Theater system with the remote control from the 508. Haven't been able to make that happen. I've tried all the codes I can find, and tried the scan feature. Nothing seems to work. All I want is to turn the Philips unit on and off, and control the volume....
Also, I downloaded the Philips ProntoLite software to make my Palm m505 a programmable remote control. I was able to set it up to control the TV (Sony) and the Philips Home Theater system, but it can't find the carrier for the 508's remote control......
