There are some other threads going on in this forum and in the HR20 forum. Figure I would start a new one where everyone can post their problems.

For the past few days, I've been having problems with some of my HD locals. More specifically, channels 12 (NBC) and Channel 10 (Fox). Live shows as well as recorded shows have been having random pixelization. The screen sometimes goes green and the audio is hung.

Other people in Phoenix have reported problems on here. Did see some reports from people in the Atlanta area having the same issues with their HD locals.

103(a) TP1-6,17 - 0 97 0 0 0 98 0(17)
103(b) all TPs are in the id 70s-80s (couple in the 60s)

No issues with any of the new HD channels.

If you are also experiencing problems, post it here.

I have a problem all the time on my HD locals. The signals are very prone to interference.

Seeing the same problems on almost all locals that are in HD. Their SD conterparts always appear fine. Channels 15(ABC), 5(CBS), 10(FOX), and 12(NBC). Has been really annoying all weekend as there was alot of great college and pro football on.

Get 2 TP's 103(a), both at 100.
All TP's on 103(b) are above 85.

All other HD channels are fine. Even Sunday ticket HD channels were fine and locals of same game were having problems. I am also in Phoenix.

Same problems for me. Also in Phoenix. Channels 10, 12, and 15 have major pixelation problems. If I switch over to my over the air antenna the HD signal is fine.

I also had major problems in Phoenix today, especially with the football game on Fox 10 this afternoon. That was really bad.

Major problems with pixalation on Sunday. Most of the local HD channels were bad including channels 3, 10, 12 and 15. The channels were unwatchable off and on for most of the day. OTA channels from Tucson were fine.

Looks like people have been reporting this problem on DirecTV's technical forum

I've been having so many problems just like described in the posts above with the local HD via sat (99-100 signal strength) that I finally decided to run with just one sat line connected in order to connect the OTA antenna. ((limited cable running to the TV). I'm still in the process of switching over all my SL's.

I just noted a lot of audio dropouts but no huge problems with pixelization.

I'm in the Baltimore market.

YES, the Bears game was terrible... very pixely on anything fast moving.. unlike the Sunday Ticket HD channels all day which were crystal clear! Wierd..

But I switched to OTA KPNX 12-1 and it was fine.. so I know its gotta be Directv's steam that is the problem...

bad problems with abc 13 and nbc hd locals...not even close to the new tbshd, etc. They better get it fixed soon, hd locals used to be my best channels, now they are horrible.

I've been having a lot of issues with audio dropouts and audio synch on the local HD channels here in the seattle area also over the past week.

First few days of D10, and got a lot of pixelation on the new HD channels and really bad on the HD Locals. SD's were fine.

Lately it's pretty good, not 100% though, on the HD's as far as pixelation....not as bad as before, but every now and then i'll get a split second of audio dropout.

The workaround...which stinks, is if I rewind the buffer about 5 seconds, and then watch it after it's played into the buffer, I don't have this problem. Once I fast forward 5 seconds to live, it goes to pot again. Slight audio dropouts every now and then. About 1 in every 5 minutes or so.

I also occasionally get a jittery sound as well...as if the audio is coming in out of packet sequence. I work in IP Telephony so can spot this pretty easily. I figured if this was the case, by extending the buffer, it would allow audio to resequence as it does in networking...so I tested by rewinding 5 seconds.....sure enough...it helps with audio.

Granted a workaround...and shouldn't have to be in place....but it gets the job done. Perhaps D* will figure this out and fix in a future firmware update or something.

I'm in Oxford MA, just west of Boston....get the Boston locals.
