I really can't stand the channel logo I have to look at on an increasing number of channels latley. Does anyone really want to look at this distracting image during a whole program? I was watching the SCI FI channel and they even put some advertisment on top of thier logo for some upcomming ghost show and it stayed there constantly for an hour long program. If I'm in the majoraty we need to put an end to this crap. If I want to know what channel I'm looking at I'll hit the info or display button on my remote.

In the world of so many channels, they kind of have to do that to remind folks what channel they are watching. Since we fast forward through commercials which include ads for upcoming shows, those little mini advertisements in addition to the channel "bug" are a way to make folks aware of upcoming shows.

Sucks, but I don't think it's going away anytime soon.

In the broadcasting industry, the on-screen logos (not logo's) are called "bugs".
Why, I'm not sure, other than (not then) the fact that they bug viewers (not viewer's).

Because they're (not there or their) pests you can't get rid of.

I (not aye) don't mind the non-intrusive ones (not wons). Usually I (not eye) am only bothered by (not buy) those creeping animated promos for (not four) other shows that take up seemingly a third of (not third've) the screen.

I'm guessing Big Ugly Graphic.
