View Full Version : D* messed up my first bill since HD upgrade

Keep an eye on your statements! I am signed up for automatic payment and watch for the amount taken out each month. This month is was well over double what it should be, the first month since the HD upgrade. I understand the process behind paying a month ahead which is what they always throw in your face when you call to tell them they screwed up. However when they changed my package to the TC PLUS HD DVR they never shut off the old package. My bill shows charges for 2 programming packages, TC+HD DVR and TC regular with a $9.99 HD fee. I got the CSR to remove the extra programming pkg for this month and last month but at first she was not going to take off the $9.99 HD fee. I told her it's built in to the TC PLUS HD DVR pkg and she said no, it is an extra fee to "make your HD channels come in better."

We'll see what happens next month!

I had the same thing happen to me. CSR took off both the old package and the HD fee no problem. Since it was an automatic payment, I now have a large credit that should be applied to my next bill...

I figured to hear from others having the same problem. It baffles me how they could add a package without taking one off.

How so?



Just because you have automatic payments doesn't mean you shouldn't pay attention to what anyone's charging you.

I have everything I can on auto payments, but I still pay attention.



Seems like this is more of an argument FOR being knowledgeable about your finances.
