I have not seen any dishes for sale at a brick-and-mortar since the 3LNB. I bet you could find one online.

Call your local stores and ask them what they have...

total?
i see 35 plus 35 s/h which is nuts but yes cheaper than retail
Circuit City may have the receiver and dish as a system but won't sell the dish by itself, Best Buy only sells the receiver. YMMV. I was in a hurry and found a local dealer who sold me an assembled AU9-S for $99 last Friday, also picked up an HR20 receiver at Best Buy Friday and had it set up temporarily on my front porch in time for Stargate Atlantis in HD Friday night. Finished up the installation properly on Saturday. :)

Try :

You should also pickup a nice meter too for the AU9 install.

i got lucky and they will do it for 19.99 this saturday
as long as the guy isnt worried about 119 and is a stickler, should be the easiest install he ever had.

Call D*, negotiate a price for the upgrade, then ask if you can just buy it locally and have them credit you upon activation.
This is what I did for my hr-250 upgrade. I basically got them to give me an hr-20 free. I then asked if I were to buy it locally if they would just credit my account when I activate it, they said no problem, $299 credit.
So I went to Costco and bought it for 269 + tax. Within a few hours I was up and running and they ended up paying me a few bucks.
Of course now I'm dealing with the lease crap, but that's not very avoidable.
