Several External USB or Firewire drives can easily clone an internal drive (comes with cloning software). There is no such thing as "Easiest" or "Best", that is all personal preference. How much can you spend on this, how big of a drive are you looking at cloning. Is more than "Pushing a button" considered too much or do you want some control over the issue? )
Here is an option I read about
Maxtor 5000DV 120 GB 7200RPM External Hard Drive (USB 2.0/Firewire) $299
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006SKL3
It is a maxtor 120GB drive. There is a 1 button backup option which will clone your C: drive (I believe due to SW limitations if you have more than a C: drive it won't work via the "1 Button".
There are smaller driver, that are cheaper, etc.
Maxtor 40GB Ext USB 2.0 Hd 5400 Rpm Retail $144
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005UKA3
But I don't think this drive comes with the clone SW or "One Button" Backup?
