I wonder if the Moderator's would create one NHL/DirecTV thread that is a 'sticky' so that those of us who are trying to keep up to date on communication with DirecTV on this issue will only have one place to look. I also think it might help to get DirecTV's attention if this were a sticky.

Thank you for considering this.

I think this just goes to show all the naysayers how popular the NHL really is, despite the media bias.

There are plenty of us left, despite the NHL's best efforts to alienate us :)

That's why we all need to keep pressing D* via phone and email about how we feel about the lack of NHL HD games via NHL CI from D*. I don't think any of us have received valid answers from D* other than the usual canned responses. The lack of a reasonable response to us only alienates us further.

I have been lurking here and think that a sticky might be helpful.

I also previously sent an email to D* Customer Service regarding D*'s interruption in the CBC broadcast of Saturday's Montreal game. In D*'s reply, the CSR wrote back that they would forward my comments regarding the NHL Center Ice on to D* Management. Maybe if enough complaints get through, D* might favorably address the issues. If not, I shall seek out a better alternative before the next hockey season begins.

I have reason to believe that the proper folks at DirecTV are well aware of the complaints noted on this board, and are working to address them ASAP -- though obviously not soon enough for our (or their) satisfaction.

Wednesday October 10 has 7 HD NHL games.

Rangers Islanders 7:00 PM ET
7:00 PM ET VERSUS (HD)

Canadiens Penguins 7:30 PM ET
7:30 PM ET RDS (HD) FSP (HD)

Panthers Lightning 7:30 PM ET
7:30 PM ET FSF (HD)

Flames Red Wings 7:30 PM ET
7:30 PM ET FSD (HD)

Oilers Wild 8:00 PM ET
7:00 PM CT FSN (HD)

Predators Blues 8:30 PM ET
7:30 PM CT FSS (HD) FSMW (HD)

Bruins Ducks 10:00 PM ET
7:00 PM PT NESN (HD)

How many of the 7 will end up on DIRECTV? Just the 1 VERSUS HD game (IE, 0 NHLCI HD)?

How many of the 7 will end up on DISHNET? I would think 6 of the 7 (NESN HD likely the omission) including possibly both HD feeds for the Preds-Blues game.

Yeh, we get screwed again, but at least we get to pay the same amount as the Dish folks, so the NHL and D* won't miss anything, only us D* subscribers.
