no CC on HD Local channels

I'm located in kalamazoo/grand rapids, Michigan area. and I'm unable to see any CC on any of HD local channels while CC works fine on SD local channels. I verified this with all local tv stations and they confirmed that CC is working fine on HD side.

However, Whenever I tune to one of those channels, only ONE word showed up on CC immediately then it stops. it sounds like Directv is blocking the CC somehow. I complained it to Directv customer service and they tried to shut me up by giving me free HR20. Sorry, I ain't shutting up because I'm deaf, I NEED CC to be able to watch tv! OTA isn't the option because I don't have antenna and not willing to spend money to install antenna on my roof.

I also am not able to see CC ON some of national HD channels like TBS, USA, etc as you guys mentioned. This must be a widespread issue caused by Directv that can be easily fixed!

CSR's try to placate with gifts, but--I know--doesn't solve your problem.

TBS and USA (A&E and History among others) not having CC in HD is the network's fault, not that of DirecTV. But if CC isn't passing on your HD Locals, well, that IS something happening with DirecTV because I know those channels have closed captioning via over the air antenna. (I tuned MY antenna to a couple of them last night and could bring them in briefly and saw it.)

And since DicoveryHD and other MPEG4 HD channels have good closed captioning, there must be something in the way DirecTV is sending out the HD locals that is causing closed captioning issues, because other people with HD locals say their closed captioning is garbled.

This is something DirecTV MUST LOOK INTO ASAP!!!!
