I've posted this in a couple threads, but it definitely warrants it's own thread.
According to the D* HD Channels Available channel, the following are/will be available:
CNBC HD 355
MGM HD 255
NGCHD 276

CSN Mid-Atlantic launched last week.
Yep, all 3 are showing as available on ch. 541

I don't think that's an exhaustive list of the channels we'll be getting tomorrow. Rumored ones not on the list include Food, HGTV, FX, and more RSNs.

You already got tons of love from D*, in the form of YES and SNY. That's 40% of the currently available national HD RSNs for the #1 DMA.

If Dolan's price was outrageous, which it most likely would have been, it's not DirecTV's fault.

Yea, but you're not the only D* customer. There are plenty of displaced fans out there. So I would say there are a lot of people that care. Probably more than there are NY fans.

If it makes you feel any better the Yankees are out of the playoffs, the Mets didn't make it and neither the Jets, Giants and Knicks are worth watching. So I'm sure there can't be too much HD content too watch at this point.

i realize that.... but D*'s main concern should be making the RSNs available to sports fans in the home market... if there is room on CONUS then by all means dump them on there so that out of market fans can benefit as well.

where do you think those channels come from? the CI channels (and subchannels) are just mirrors of the RSNs (usually the home team's TV feed). for D* to have the HD CI games.. they're going to need the necessary HD RSNs on CONUS to provide them.

CI does show games not on RSNs but so far the only CI HD games have been on the few CONUS HD RSNs.

I had a lot of problems recording Thrashers games in past years when I had NHL CI where my DirecTiVo would choose the lower channel RSN instead of the NHL CI channel and I would get back from the game and find out that the RSN had been blacked out. One of the reasons that I cancelled NHL CI this season.

yup... the new D* DVRs are not CI friendly. i canceled my CI subscription as well.

That is not what happened. In these cases, the game was only available on one RSN and that one was blacked out. I even had situations where away games were not televised on the local RSN and I went and verified that the only RSN showing the game was blacked out for me, but the NHL CI channel was not.

sometimes, but the opening game at nyr was on hd net and blacked out.when i called d* to bitch they said it should be on ch 96 or 97 but could not make it even show up on my guide

I figured out how to get the Food HD Channel to appear on my guide!
So I had a recorded episode of Everyday Italian on my HR20 from that little preview they gave us last week. So when I click on episodes and look for another showing of everyday Italian I set one to record and when it starts my recorder will tune to 231-1 even though it is not on my guide.
When I press the guide button under All Channels it does not appear but when I put the channel filter to HDTV it shows up! So I can scan all the shows coming up and select the ones I want to record.
At least until D* finally opens the channel to everyone. I still don't understand why they are hiding it from us if it is already running and it looks great!

Odd. It showed up on my guide in Tampa on 96, but I was blacked out since this is Lightning territory (I was able to see in on HDNet). What ticked me off that evening was that the Lightning game on Sun-HD didn't show up here.
My TiVo just added SpeedHD along with FXHD to my lineup. Speed would be a real surprise.

After todays additions it will give them the bragging rights of 32 New HD Channels.....
