Very odd popup message... [Archive]

I was using Azureus 3.0 on a PC on my network and when I shutdown Azureus, my HR20-700 popped up a message that stated the "Server Azureus has logged off" or something to that affect.

Anyone seen this before?

Sounds like the new version of Azureus has some sort of media server capability. It may have connected to your HR20 based off of stored info from WMP11 or something like that. That's the same sort of message you would get if you had your HR20 connected to a media server and shut the server down.

That sounds reasonable - I have a DLink network drive, and every once in a while I get the message that it has logged off.

I'm just wondering if I can use that as a media server now! I haven't played around with it much.

Azureus is now partnered with Vuze and it does media sharing. If you are running the newest release of Azureus, then it is now on your network attempting to share whatever files it has access to. You can turn this off if you like, but its on by default. Anything on your network looking for media can connect, including your HR20.
