Well, the installer came to do the HD install upgrade today. However, I have some tree branches blocking my view from some of the satellites. I rescheduled my install for a week from now and I found out that I can change this if I need to through Directv's website (I did not know that).

Anyways, my wife was at home while I was at work and the installer left a note with some degrees on it. He put HD Sats at 200, 190, 180 SW at 45 angle. I have no idea what he means by this. My existing dish works completely fine with no signal issues. Can anyone tell me where the satelittes are positioned so I know which tree branches to cut down. Thanks.

If you currently have a round, single satellite dish for the 101 satellite, you can figure you need a wider aperture to get the 5 additional satellites at 99(b), 103(a), 103(b), 110, and 119. The numbers he left your wife are what he figures are roughly the azimuth bearings to the satellites from your location.

You can use the sun's position at correct times to "see" where each satellite is located. See the link in my signature below.

If your dish network currently works then you know you can pick up the 110 sat and the 119 sat as dish network mainly broadcast from those 2 positions. If you have a clear view to the east of where you dish is currently pointed you should be fine
