This weekend the wife and kid will be away and I am going to try to realign my 5lnb dish.

I am currently at:

103b:
79 86 76 85 76 85 74 85
75 83 77 84 77 85
82 86

103a
20 74 0 0 25 73

99a
0 81 13 85 0 0

119
96 to 98

110
88 to 92

101
97 95 97 83 96 98 95 98
96 96 97 72 96 99 96 98
96 74 97 79 96 98 97 98
95 20 97 97 96 97 95 99

I have seen people from all over the US getting much higher 103 readings. I am hoping to max out my 103 signals to prevent rain fade on even the slightest of rains.

Is there anyone in the Raleigh area with high 103 signals to prove it is possible to achieve 90s in this area of the country.

In Rocky Mount, I'm getting 95+ on the 103b sat, with 97 on the 101. About 2 weeks ago, I had strengths in the high 70s on the 103b sat. Went out and just raised the elevation on the dish and everything is much better now. I would try just elevation first...

Yes, see the image below. I'm about two miles due north of the RBC Center.

Another factor is there are multiple vendors for the 5 LNB with the integrated multiswitch. Each performs differently, some are better than others.

With my luck I am sure I have the worst one.

I live in North Raleigh, near the Leesville exit of I-540, if this matters. Anyway, my 103 readings are:

103(a)

103(b)
94 95 91 94 90 95 86 94

I live in Cary. The first installer did a really crappy job installing my new dish/HR20. I was getting signals in the 20s and 30s on 103(b). Amazingly, I was still getting most of the channels with only occasional loss of picture. They sent out a different guy a few days later. He re-alligned my dish (as well as adding the bracing and 2 screws the first guy didnt' put in) and now I'm getting consistently 90-100 on every 103(b) transponder. Absolutely no trees in my way also.
