I have seen the 99 issue floating around this forum but with no clear cause or solution explanation, here it is. What I cannot confirm is if this is a legacy bug or introduced in x2024. The problem comes up when you select 6x8 multi-switch during setup. If you live in an area that is not covered by sat 99 to receive local HD channels you have to wait for several mins before setup confirmation determines it cannot detect sat 99 (fail) and gives you the option to restart the sat setup procedure or fix later. If you select restart and 4x4 multi-switch the problem remains.
If you installed the H20 out of the box and left 4x4 multi-switch selected, sat 99 does not even show up in setup confirmation. 101/110/119/103 appear all with Pass, press continue and start watching DirecTV but if you see the 99 sat fail and you do not receive local HD channels from this sat, it can be removed from the confirmation test by performing a "full" not back to defaults, reset. The key is to never select 6x8 multi-switch unless your config requires it. I still see this as a bug as this effects legacy dish owners that don't receive their HD locals from the 99 sat.
