I have a recurring manual recording setup for every Sunday at 10:30am. The recording is on my local (Chicago) ABC affiliate's HD channel.

It never records. It shows up in the History as "Canceled" with the following message:

This showing was partially recorded due to an unexpected error (14).

I have an HR20-700 with software version 0x18a (8/28 3:48am).

I've reset the receiver several times both through the menu and using the red button. I've also gone through guided setup. I've also tried deleting and re-adding the recording. None of this has worked.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? Is this a known issue? Has anybody been able to overcome this problem?

I apologize if this issue has already been posted about. Thanks in advance......

I have had that issue trying to record John MacArthur on NRB via Series Link. When I set up a manual recording for when his show was on it worked okay. It just absolutely refused to record it via the original series link. I am going to say it's a guide issue but I could be wrong.

It's a well known issue that has been reported for months. If you're interested go to the CE section here and you can see the reports going in. It appears that DirecTV is putting some effort into correcting the issue.

I appreciate your reply, but, if I understand your situation correctly, I think I'm suffering from the converse of what you describe.

My Series Links all seem to work fine. The problem I am having is with a recurring manual recording.

Ken S:

Thank you for your reply. At the very least now I know that D* is aware of the problem.

I will try and check out the CE section.
