So when did DTV open the eSATA port on the HR20? And why do they not have the 750gb limit? Sorry if this has already been discussed. Another bad, this probably should have been in the 622/722 forum.

eSATA was opened up... oh... Early September 2006
They don't have a 750gb limit...

Dang, they moved this thread to the DirecTV section. I posted to the DISH thread, most Dish users, including myself had been told that the HR20 would not accept an external drive. We were told that this was one of the big advantages of the VIP 622/722 over the HR20. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for the information.

Gee, DISH lying to its customers by telling them their chief competitor lacks a same feature when, in fact, said competitor does have such a feature? What is this world coming to? :nono2:
