On my HR20, the search function doesn't seem to be able to find anything from MGMHD when searching by title or person. Don't know if it's a software issue or a guide data issue.

Try rebooting the receiver. MGM showed up after I did it.
FX-HD content is also not showing up in the search results. Try searching by title on "NIP" to get to Nip/Tuck ... you can't. (Mini-marathon runs this Saturday 10/20, so it's in the guide.)

Did you try a reboot? I have Nip/Tuck in my search results.

I am having the same problem, as I reported in this (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=104819) thread.
I have tried a menu reset, and that did not solve the issue. I am seeing the issue on other MPEG4 channles as well. For instance, the new season of L&O CI on A&E does not show up in the search results.
This is a big problem that I hope they get resolved quickly.
EDIT: I am seeing the same issue on remote booking as well. So this doesn't look like an HR20 specific problem. Try searching for "Goldfinger" on remote booking. It won't find any results, even though it's on MGM this weekend.
Did you try a reboot? I have Nip/Tuck in my search results. No ... I test CE releases so I avoid rebooting unless it's absolutely necessary, which in this case it isn't, so I'll just wait for the next CE release Friday when I'll happily reboot. :)

Is there a difference between reboot and restart the receiver?
If there is, I'm sorry. I should have said I restarted the receiver through the
remote and after a restart I was able to search the movies on MGMHD.
Perhaps it was a problem when the channels were added.

Perhaps it was a problem when the channels were added.Sorry if I caused any confusion ... Reboot and restart are often used interchangeably. Usually, it's noted as RBR, for Red Button Reboot, or Restart, for the Menu Restart, but both do the same thing: shut down and restart the DVR.
I'm sure this would resolve the issue and make the missing HD programs available to the search results, but I can go another two days without forcing it.

Reboot (menu restart) solved the problem. Thanks to all who suggested it.

Guys, this has been a problem since day one. Re-boots don't solve it. I have a saved search of Islanders - Sports - Hockey, and on a really good day it finds about 1/2 of the available games. I just manually scan the guide to find the games, and I find many more than the search does.

As I wrote, a reboot did solve the problem with MGMHD content not showing up in search results. Your search problem may have a different cause where a reboot doesn't help.

Reboot did not solve my MPEG4 channel issue. Nor could it, as it does not seem to be a HR20 issue. I can't find the shows on the new MPEG4 channels using remote booking either, so it must be bad guide data. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
