My first thought was to move this to the installation subforum, or maybe the OT, but the guy deserves all the credit we can give him!

These type stories would make a good book.

We had an incident here several years ago where a boy cut off his arm on a minibike. The UPS driver in the area gathered the kid and the arm, got him to where a medvac chopper could get him to the local trauma center. The driver used his cell phone to organize medical people on the ground and he protected the kids' arm with packaging, saving the arm.

I never heard anything about the driver after that. He went to his next stop.

Good one.

That's why I am a loyal D* subscriber... because an E* or cable installer would have let the guy die.:nono2: God bless D* and God bless America! :flag: :!pride:flag:

Good story! Good one for first thing in the morning! :)

And, hey cartrivision. There was absolutely no negativity in this thread until you posted. Nobody said anything negative against E* to warrant your comment. Why the threadcrap?

ok.. thats just an ignorant thing to say. im sure that D* has installers that wouldnt have a clue what to do in this situation.. it doesnt matter who ya work for d*, e*, or even mcdonalds.. its about having the heart to help a fellow human in need.

You know you have a good installer when he shows up with a big red D on his chest. He takes off the cape to work on ladders.

Always good to see people willing to help others. Years ago when I was in the scouts, they honored "local hero's" all the time in the paper etc. We don't see that much anymore.
