Owners of newspapers, television stations, and radio stations may be able to consolidate. The former owner of DirecTV, Rupert Murdoch may be able to buy up more papers and tv stations.

I thought the deal was done. Do you know when it will be complete?

Currently expected to be sometime yet this year, depending upon the regulatory agencies. Perhaps within a month?

It already has been approved by shareholders and regulators. The shares just need to change hands.
