Toshiba RC64 Remote Codes?

This might be a long-shot but does anyone know of a RC64 remote code for a Toshiba 24AF43? This is a 24" CRT made in 2003 if it matters. I've tried all the ones listed in the manual but none of them work with the on off function. I can switch it to TV and power the TV on and off with several of the codes but it won't work with it set to DirecTV. I want to be able to turn the TV and receiver on and off at the same time. Its driving me crazy. :(

I'm sorry that your 2003 Toshiba CRT has been "orphaned" by DirecTV.

As they say, "I feel your pain."

You can also understand how I felt when my 2006 Toshiba LCD was not recognized by the DirecTV remote. Had to buy a universal remote to operate
my DirecTV DVR and my new Toshiba television set.

You can also understand how I felt when my 2006 Toshiba LCD was not recognized by the DirecTV remote. Had to buy a universal remote to operate

I'm not sure I understand...you do have a code that switches off the TV? But you're saying it doesn't do it consistently when set to the D* setting - right?

I've always had that problem with my old Toshiba. I usually just hit the off button twice and it takes care of it. I don't think it's the code or you wouldn't be able to shut off the TV period. I think it's just the length of time it blasts the signal out or something...the Toshiba is looking for a stronger/longer signal is my guess...
